PM Vishwakarma Scheme 2024: PM Vishwakarma Yojana was launched by the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi on 17 September 2023 on the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Puja. The benefits of this Prime Minister’s scheme have basically been started with this very purpose. To bring out the skills of the people of Vishwakarma community and create new schools among them.

Free training is being given to the youth through PM Vishwakarma Yojana and apart from all this, an amount of ₹ 500 is also being provided to the candidates as incentive. This is being done so that employment opportunities can be created in various sectors and these people can also contribute to the country’s economy by becoming a self-reliant India. PM Vishwakarma Scheme 2024
The objective of PM Vishwakarma Yojana is to make the working people of economically weaker section self-reliant and employable. An amount of up to ₹15000 and a certificate are also provided to the candidates after completing the training under PM Vishwakarma Yojana. Apart from all this, financial assistance up to ₹ 300000 is also given to the candidates who have completed the training to create their own employment. However, this assistance is being provided at 5% interest rate.
Through PM Vishwakarma Yojana, the Central Government is continuously making efforts to make the people of Vishwakarma community self-reliant and to hone their skills in their own community so that they can do good work and take care of their family and country. Keeping all these things in mind, financial assistance, loan facility from banks and free training facility has also been provided under PM Vishwakarma Scheme.
Eligibility for PM Vishwakarma Scheme
- For PM Vishwakarma Scheme, it is mandatory for the beneficiary to be a native of India.
- Apart from Vishwakarma Community, 140 castes are also being given benefits under this scheme.
- People whose family annual income is less than Rs 1,80,000 per year will also be given benefits.
- The beneficiary should not hold any government post.
- No person in the beneficiary’s family will have to pay income tax.
- The beneficiary wants to start his own employment.
Benefits of PM Vishwakarma Scheme
- Under PM Vishwakarma Yojana, financial assistance of ₹ 500 per month is being given.
- With the aim of making workers self-reliant and starting their own business, loan facility up to Rs 10 lakh is being provided under this scheme.
- Free training is being given and on completion of the training, an incentive amount of ₹ 15000 is also being given along with a certificate.
- The benefits of PM Vishwakarma Yojana are basically being given to washermen, cobblers, blacksmiths, tailors, fish farmers, barbers and people doing small business.
